Terms, in plain English.
What you buy, when you’re charged, and what we promise back. Effective July 2026 · questions to info@bookabillboard.today
What you're buying
Airtime on a real digital billboard in Times Square, NYC (Broadway & 46th), sold as seconds in a shared daily loop. Your ad takes the whole screen for its slot, repeating through your run day — a Single plays about 11 times a day. The board is shared with other advertisers; that's why it costs $110 instead of tens of thousands. It is airtime, not exclusive ownership of the screen.
Play counts and times are approximate: exact scheduling within the day is managed by the board operator, and minor variations (technical windows, board maintenance) can occur. What we promise is your slot length, your run day, and proof that it ran.
When you're charged
Reserving your spot charges a $1 deposit right away — a real, non-refundable charge, not a hold. If your ad is approved, the $1 counts toward your total and you pay the remaining balance from My spot to lock your slot. If your ad isn't approved, the $1 isn't refunded — instead it's added to your account as credit, automatically applied to your next booking.
Prices are computed on our servers at the moment you reserve. The price shown at checkout is the price charged — no fees added later.
Review & content rules
Every ad is reviewed by a human before it runs. We accept ads that meet standard advertising rules: no adult content, no hate or harassment, no illegal products or services, no misleading claims, nothing you don't hold the rights to, and image quality high enough to look good at billboard size (we grade this in the editor before you reserve).
We may reject any ad at our discretion — including for reasons of board-operator policy or applicable NYC signage rules. If your ad is rejected you are not charged, we email you the reason, and you're welcome to fix it and resubmit.
You confirm you own (or are licensed to use) everything in your ad — images, logos, likenesses, trademarks — and that displaying it publicly breaks no law and infringes no one's rights. You indemnify us against claims arising from your creative content.
Scheduling & run dates
After your booking is confirmed, we allocate your run date and post it in your account (and email you). Multi-day runs arranged over email follow the same terms, pro-rated to the agreed schedule.
If something on our side (or the board operator's) prevents your confirmed spot from running as promised, you choose: a re-run on the next available date, or a full refund. That's the whole remedy — and it's a real one.
Refunds & cancellations
Before confirmation: the $1 reservation charge is non-refundable. If your ad isn't approved, it becomes account credit instead — see "When you're charged" above. You are never charged the balance until you pay it yourself, after approval.
After confirmation but before your run: email info@bookabillboard.today. We'll accommodate changes where scheduling allows; refunds at this stage are at our reasonable discretion.
If your confirmed spot doesn't run due to our fault: full refund to the same card, no questions.
Proof & sharing
After your spot runs, you receive timestamped proof (a photo of your ad live on the board). You're free — encouraged — to share it anywhere. We may also feature anonymized or public campaign moments in our own marketing; email us if you'd rather we didn't feature yours.
Referrals & rewards
Referral upgrades (both parties bumped Single → Double for the Single price) are granted when a referred friend's payment completes. One referral reward per booking; self-referrals and fake accounts void the reward. Rewards have no cash value.
Liability
We run a small, honest service and stand behind it — but our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the booking in question. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost publicity windows, etc.). Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
The boring-but-necessary bits
These terms plus the privacy policy are the whole agreement. We may update them; material changes are posted here with a new date, and your bookings run under the terms in force when you reserved. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest stand.
Questions, disputes, anything unclear: email info@bookabillboard.today first — a human reads every message, usually the same day. Most things are solvable in one reply.
